Emily Harvey
My work is mainly collagraph printmaking; I love the challenge of this experimental technique, which produces a rich textured surface and layers of colour in the prints. I am currently developing sculptural techniques using plaster.
My practice is frequently social, encouraging people to contribute to the creative process by sharing collective memories and individual experiences as well as actively participating in making art themselves.
I am usually found making original prints and running courses from my studio near York, as well as leading creative community projects in a range of media.
Please see my website for more information about short printmaking courses, exhibitions and projects.
I also write a printmaking blog; the curious printmaker, encouraging curiosity and experiments in printmaking.
